The spring breeze is pleasantly warm. The grasses are tall and the nightingales are in the air. On the morning of 28th March, leaders of the Basic Education Section with the Education Bureau from various counties in Anqing City, the Off-Campus Activity Center as well as relevant schools from Anqing Municipality gathered together at the Youth Off-Campus Activity Center in Anqing City to convene the Off-Campus Working Meeting for teenagers around Anqing City and carve out the career development for teenagers’ extracurricular activities.
Also in attendance were Section Chief Fang Min with the Basic Education Section of Municipal Education Bureau and Madam Li Xia, Deputy Section Chief with the Basic Education Section of Municipal Education Bureau& Deputy Secretary with the Bureau of the Youth League Committee.
In accordance with the built-in agenda, participants of the conference toured Anqing Foreign Language School’s Outward Bound Training Base in the afternoon. Led by the people in charge of the base, they were full of praise towards our graceful campus environment and highly affirmed the establishment of the Outward Bound Training Base and the four indoor studios. Furthermore, under the guidance of teacher Jiang Houwu from the base, each leader experienced the extended projects pleasantly.
It’s reported that this year two inclusive activities will be launched at the Youth Activity Center in Anqing City, which are ‘Enter the Scientific World’ and ‘Rural Students Observe the New Outlines of Cities’ respectively. Other than that, the Youth Activity Center shall hold four characteristic activities as follows: ‘the 16th Session Youth Model Airplane Tournament in Anqing City’, ‘the 1st Session Campus Singer Contest for Teachers and Students with the theme of Music Lights the Future and Singing Illuminates the Future’, the ‘Civilization Cup’ Youth Football League in Anqing City in addition to the 1st Session Chorus Festival of Children’s Voice in Anqing City with the subject of ‘Singing Patriotic Songs to Welcome the National Day’. What’s worth mentioning is that there will be 12,000 students participating in the two inclusive activities who shall get to Anqing Foreign Language School’s Outward Bound Training Base in batches this year to pay field trips, which will tangibly boost the operation and development of the base and also help demonstrate the incredible image of Anqing Foreign Language School.
